Artist and designer Samuel Pawlak is the founder of Livesay Ether, a Lancaster City, Pennsylvania, based studio. Known more simply as just "Livesay", the studio’s underlying aesthetic is defined by a dark, elegant, surrealist vision. This vision is guided by a design process predicated on creating and documenting uncommon or unique standalone forms, bodies, and artifacts and translating them into functional pieces through the most modern technological methods available. These simple yet defining characterizations of Pawlak’s method and style stems from his interest in all that is still unknown or unfound, and how it may be expressed and preserved through the mediums of art and design.
